Our plant chandelier is made from pinewood, burnt wood, ceramic pottery and filament lights. And each has a story to tell.
The Pine, sourced from local forests is chosen due to its light weight and strength. The texture makes it ideal to work using our techniques. It also endures.
We work with a unique and ancient technique called pyrography. It’s what gives the wood the burnt look. Pyrography allows artists to create intricate motifs and designs on wood using a hot metal tip. They can even bring out shades and hues of brown in the same block of wood. It takes an extremely skilled hand to find delicate balance and turn a block of wood into art.
The interplay of these elements has created an other-worldly charm. Wisps of an ancient wind meet cutting edge craftsmanship.
